The Cho-pat I.T.B. Strap will apply compression at the area of discomfort to help relieve Iliotibial Band Syndrome. It will help prevent the snapping or friction of the Iliotibial band over the bony prominences just above and toward the outside of the knee joint and/or further up the leg at the hip joint, thus allowing the healing process to begin. However, the I.T.B. strap is not meant to be worn prophylacticly but rather as a temporary device to permit healing to take place. It must be realized that though the I.T.B. symptoms may be alleviated by the application of the Cho-pat I.T.B. Strap, the cause of the problem in the first place can still be present, therefore likely to return. It is recommended that you seek evaluation and treatment by a medical professional. Ideally the I.T.B. strap should be worn nearest the area of the most discomfort, however it can be worn approximately 2" to 3" in either direction with beneficial results. Warning: Wear tight enough to attain relief but not impede circulation and normal leg movement. Do not wear to bed. Sizing: Measure Circumference at site of most discomfort Note: If you are between sizes, we suggest you order the smaller size. Extra Small 12-15.5 in.; 30-39 cm.
